Back to School is JUST around the corner and I am SO excited to welcome my students into our classroom! Come August, I usually send some sort of letter or postcard to introduce myself and connect to my soon-to-be second graders. This year, I saw the CUTEST idea floating around Instagram and had to give it a try using Canva.
It just so happens, I have become quite familiar with Canva over the past few months, as I’ve worked to build my website and social media accounts. Not familiar with Canva? Oh, you are about to enter a WORLD of addicting creative possibility!
Canva is a free graphic design platform that’s great for making invitations, business cards, Instagram posts, and more. A drag and drop interface makes customizing thousands of templates simple and easy. Canva’s wide array of features allow you to edit photos without extensive photo editing knowledge or experience.

So, I hopped on over to my Canva account (I do have a paid, premium account, but you can get a free educator’s account here). Within minutes I had a cute, fun design with my photo and a personal message for my students. I ordered the postcards to be printed right from Canva, but you could always download your design and print elsewhere.
